What is beautiful, anyway?

I just stumbled into something I wrote in my notes a couple of days ago...⁣
⁣⁣
I was talking to a friend about the concept of beauty (and the mainstream idea of beauty we’ve been brainwashed with, which tells us we are not beautiful as we are, and we’re never enough so we need to constantly buy clothes, makeup, skincare, etc etc), and I deeply felt the need to claim back and redefine what beauty is to each one of us... this is what I ended up typing into my phone:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Beauty is in the eye (or “I” = essence, consciousness) of the beholder.⁣

So, it’s never about the thing that is being looked at. But WHO is looking? Who/where are you seeing from?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
How would you look from the eyes of love?⁣ What would you see?⁣
⁣⁣
Beauty is the result of a level of consciousness. Anything that is seen from the frequency of love will be beautiful... because love is capable of piercing through to the essence.⁣

And what is in the essence of everything/everyone if not love and beauty? Both are of the highest frequencies, and thus a portal to oneness and the universe/Goddess herself.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
What is seeing beauty in a leaf or the sea if not a recognition of the beauty that lies within us? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Beauty is not something out there, it is an acknowledgement and embodiment of something that lies within. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I invite you to love something/someone completely and watch it bloom into its full beauty.⁣⁣ If you can make that someone yourself, you’ll be surprised by what you find.
